Who and What is cringleford.com
This site is managed by Michael and Frances Holmes. We moved into Cringleford in 1991 and discovered that it is a wonderful place to live. As we have some time we would like to provide this facility for the residents of Cringleford and especially for those who will be moving into the new Round House Park homes.
Cringleford is rightly proud of the friendly welcome it makes to all new residents. With a potential doubling of the population over the next few years good communications and up to date information becomes even more important.
We very much welcome participation in this web site. Any suggestions will be gratefully received. Any contributions by way of articles, photographs or help with the site can only enhance the value of this service to the village.
Some of our other major web sites are:
Is the vehicle we use to work with colleagues to develop our web sites, films and publications. Each year we aim to complete a major project on a different aspect of Norwich's rich heritage.
The Norwich Historic Church Trust which provides in depth information about the 31 remaining medieval churches in Norwich. The sister site is the Friends of Norwich churches which encourages participation in preserving these unique medieval buildings.
The Norfolk Stained Glass site displaying some superb photographs showing details of stained glass that is impossible to see with the naked eye.
Norwich Market is the 2010 project for Norwich Heritage Projects. This includes some of the more recent history of both the 1938 redevelopment when the City Hall was built and the 2005 revamp by LSI Architects. As usual there is a focus on images and videos presented in an easily accessible manner.
In 2011 we completed our most ambitious project to research and publish material on Norwich Pubs and Breweries. It proved to be a very wide but absorbing labour.
We were delighted that our book "Norwich Pubs and Brewerie" was shortlisted for the East anglian book of the year and equally delighted that it has now been in the Jarrold's local best sellers list for over a year
We sail our Yeoman at Norfolk Broads Yhact Club over the summer and Snowflakes at Horning over the winter. To find out more about Yeoman sailing click the flag to find the Yeoman Kinsman Association web site
